San Diego, Calif., March 17, 2007– For the first time, USA Federal Credit Union (headquartered in San Diego, CA) won three national awards from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) at the industry’s premier awards competition — the 2007 Diamond Awards. About 90% of America’s credit unions are affiliated with CUNA, making this a highly prominent accolade.
“We are all very excited to win more CUNA awards than at any time in our history,” said Mary Cunningham, President/CEO of USA Federal Credit Union, “Coming from CUNA, this demonstrates recognition of our emphasis on quality service, innovation, and meeting the needs of all our members.” | Diamond Award The 2007 Diamond for Best Multi-Media Community PR Campaign (asset size $500 million - $1 billion) headed the list of USA Federal’s awards. “This elite national Diamond Award recognizes our strategic and comprehensive approach to community outreach and reflects the efforts of the entire USA Federal team,” said Nicole Anderson, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. The campaign featured a multi-media communication strategy providing information about a wide range of important topics, solutions to financial challenges, and targeting of key member groups. | | | | | Diamond Merit Award USA Federal also won a 2007 Diamond Merit Award for its innovative, one-of-a-kind, Internet radio show, “Money & You”, which is strategically partnered with Entrepreneur Magazine. “We are fulfilling the credit union mission of financial education with ‘Money & You’ every week,” Cunningham said, “From home buying to retirement planning, we work hard to give our audience what they need to achieve their financial goals.” Launched last August, the show is noted for high caliber national guests and topical format. It is believed to be the only Internet radio show hosted by a credit union in America. | | | | |

Viewpoint America, a San Diego-based PR and market research firm, helped lead the effort to win the coveted 2007 Diamond for both the Community PR and the Internet Radio Show.
