USA Federal Credit Union's Exec Joins Poway Chamber Board:
Bill Lawrence Brings Community Expertise

San Diego, Calif., January 31, 2007–USA Federal Credit Union’s Bill Lawrence has been named to the Poway Chamber of Commerce 2007 Board of Directors. The Chamber boasts over 800 members at this time. Lawrence is a popular Chairman of the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee, a past-member of the Business Resource Committee and a ready volunteer for Chamber activities.

“Bill Lawrence is a natural choice for this Board because he leads by example,” says Toni Kraft of the Poway Chamber, “He is that rare combination of someone who can mentor a CEO and work side-by-side with the volunteers. When Bill asks people to help, no one hesitates.” Chamber activism is a way of life for Lawrence. He has been a prominent member of three Chambers of Commerce: National City, Diamond Gateway, and Poway. “The Chamber is an excellent way for businesses to network and for businesses to impact the community,” Lawrence said. He is on the Board of Directors for “Christmas in July” in National City and a Volunteer Coordinator of their “Christmas in July” Golf Tournament.

Lawrence previously worked at Associates Financial Service and is a 24 year veteran of USA Federal Credit Union, serving today as their Branch Services Coordinator. He and his wife Maria Victoria, along with son Marc, live in Mira Mesa.
