USA Federal Credit Union Announces 2007 CDR. Timothy R. McMaster, USN, Scholarship.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego, Calif., January 9, 2007 – In 2007, USA Federal Credit Union will award the Cdr. Timothy R. McMaster, USN, Scholarship of $1,500 to the child of an active duty military member. The Member Relations Committee of the Board of Directors will select the scholarship recipient. The recipient will be notified before the end of the school year.

The scholarship is named after recently deceased USA Federal Board member, Timothy R. McMaster. Commander McMaster served in the US Navy for 34 years, as a leader in the insurance industry, and as a distinguished community volunteer. He became a member of USA Federal Credit Union in 1959. He served on the Board of Directors from 1984 until his death in November of ’06. He had served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-Chairman, and Chairman of the Board in the past. He was also a member of the Supervisory Committee at the time of his death.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants for this scholarship must be college bound senior students who have a military dependent I.D. card and whose mother or father is an active duty military member. Applicants must be a member of USA Federal Credit Union for one year prior to March 15, 2007, or the child of a member of USA Federal Credit Union who has been a member for one year prior to March 15, 2007.

Family members of the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Committee, and of the employees of USA Federal Credit Union are not eligible to apply for a Scholarship.
